Doing their part to help those in need, MPress Records proudly announced the release of “New Arrivals Vol. 5: Artists For Hurricane Sandy Relief” charity compilation album.

The latest in MPress Recods‘ charity compilation albums series, “New Arrivals Vol. 5” features internationally-acclaimed artists like Brooklyn-based band Lucius, UK folk-pop artists Polly Paulusma and Stephen Langstaff, and Iowa native singer and songwriter Chad Elliott, just to name a few.

The album also features a bonus track by Grammy winner Paula Cole, perfectly entitled “Life Goes On“.

Surely music fans will enjoy this album and its artistic range.

All proceeds from the sales of this compilation will go to three NYC-based charities that are providing Hurricane Sandy Relief: The Red Hook Initiative (Brooklyn), Project Hospitality Staten Island Hurricane Relief Fund (Staten Island), and Graybeards (The Rockaways).

With the vacation season right around the corner, we have no excuse to not to do our best to give something back to society, right? MPress Records is offering us a golden opportunity to do so.

The NY-based record label is launching a compilation CD, New Arrivals Volume 5 (NAV5), featuring a selection of some of the most acclaimed hits of their indie artists: Brooklyn-based band Lucius, UK folk-pop artists Polly Paulusma and Stephen Langstaff or Iowa native singer and songwriter Chad Elliott. NAV5 also includes a bonus track by Grammy® Winner Paula Cole.

All the sales profits will go straight to the victims of the devastating Hurricane Sandy, via three New York charities which focus on palliating the lingering damages of the natural catastrophe: The Red Hook Initiative (Brooklyn), Project Hospitality Staten Island Hurricane Relief Fund (Staten Island), and Graybeards (The Rockaways).

As you can see, NAV 5 makes the perfect gift for this Christmas season, as it represent an unparallel opportunity for discovering new artists from different styles, in case you don’t know them yet, as well as contributing to an excellent cause and making a difference.

Plato said: “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way of describing the MPress initiative.

Hurricane Sandy was formed in October 22, 2012, and lasted until October 31 of the same year. It hit the Caribbean, United States and Canada, and left behind more 200 hundred lives. The estimated damages surpassed $60 billion.

I recommend the New Arrivals Vol. 5: Artists For Hurricane Sandy Relief CD from MPRESS Records, featuring twenty songs by twenty different artists, which 100% of their profits are going to charity.
